John Sollows gave two talks on behalf of TREPA to tourists at Ellenwood Park, at the request of the Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources. The first, given July 28, was on native reptiles and amphibians to a group of eight. After the talk, the group looked for some living representatives and found one red-backed salamander and quite a few toads along the shore of the lake. On August 3rd, John gave a PowerPoint illustrated talk on the history, aims, and activities of TREPA to a group of three.
John will give repeat performances to the Friends of Ellenwood and other interested people. The reptile and amphibian talk will happen September 30 at 2 pm, and the TREPA talk later in the fall, date to be announced.
